Frequently Asked Questions

About The Candles

All candles are poured with a blend of coconut and soy wax. Wicks are braided with cotton and paper which promotes self-trimming. Natural wax may appear pitted before or after burning which is normal and will not impact burn or fragrance.

Candle Safety

Wick should be trimmed to 1/8" before each burn. Be sure wick trimmings or match remnants are removed before burning. Always burn candle on heat safe surface. Never leave candle burning unattended or move candle while lit. Do not burn candle for longer than 4 hours. Lit candle should be placed out of drafts and should be kept away from children and pets. Candle should not be burned once wax is less than 1/4" deep.

Processing Times

I work full time outside of making candles. Once your order is received, it may take up to 2 weeks to prepare your order for drop off with the shipping carrier. I cannot guarantee or predict shipping times so your patience is appreciated!

Shipping/Damage

I pack your candles with great care and attention so that they arrive safely. I am not responsible for damages once your package has been dropped off with the shipping carrier. In the event an item is lost in the mail or damaged, you must file a claim with the carrier used for your package (UPS or USPS). If items arrive damaged, you will need to retain all packaging in order to submit photos for a claim.

How To Reuse Piece

After your candle has fully burned, it is time to clean it out and reuse it! Fill your candle with warm water to soften wax. Use a spoon or butter knife to carefully scrape wax and pry out wick tab. Excess wax should be discarded in the trash. Carefully wash your piece in warm soapy water with a soft sponge to remove any remaining residue. Time to use your piece as a cup, spooner, planter, catchall or a pretty addition to any shelf. Interested in a refill? Email me at vintageglasscandlesbyjulia@gmail.com.
